How Did ‘DACA’ (aka Democrat Party Voter Registration Drive) Trump the ‘America First’ Agenda?

When President Trump campaigned for the highest office in the land, he made it clear that he would end Obama’s unconstitutional amnesties known as DACA and DAPA.

Trump identified unchecked illegal immigration as a threat to the rule of law, the economic and physical well-being of Americans and a drain on the limited financial resources and opportunities—such as spots in college—which should be used for citizens, not illegal aliens.

According to a Breitbart story, Trump was clear about ending Obama’s DACA amnesty:

“We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties in which he defied federal law and the Constitution to give amnesty to approximately five million illegal immigrants,” Trump said in Arizona in his famous immigration reform speech.

What’s frustrating many Trump supporters and Americans in general is why the Democrat’s agenda—amnesty for the chosen 800,000 illegal aliens between ages 20 and 30—takes precedence over things that would benefit American citizens.

What happened to these ‘America First’ priorities?

•Reforming the VA

•Ending ObamaCare completely

•Building the Wall, ending sanctuary cities and enforcing our existing immigration laws

•Defunding Planned Parenthood

•Eliminating Common Core and bringing competition to public schools via vouchers or ‘school choice’

With the exception of Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa), there seems to be no real resistance to what is nothing more than another amnesty cleverly disguised as an act of compassion toward children (who are now adults).

The simple truth is that DACA was bad policy when Obama forced it on us though executive order, and it’s still bad policy.

Listen to what illegal immigration expert and author of the Arizona law, Kris Kobach, told Fox News—Kobach is currently Secretary of State in Kansas, and running to become their next Governor):

DACA is bad policy. It’s going to hurt … those 800,000 illegal aliens are in their 20’s and 30’s, they’re not kids. And they’re competing for jobs with Americans who in that age group are facing 9 percent unemployment, 19 percent under-employment. So we’re going to be taking Americans out of jobs and giving those jobs to DACA recipients effectively.

And it’s going to cause a surge in illegal immigration. So what would President Trump be willing to take that hit—that bad policy that’s also going to anger his base—you know what would he be willing to get … what would he be willing to demand? And I think he has to demand more than just the RAISE Act, which is the end to chain migration, and more than just the border wall. He’d have to demand E-Verify, mandatory nationwide as well to make sure that this new surge of illegal aliens—which will come in, there’s no question, if we grant an amnesty, they will come in—make sure that they don’t take additional jobs from Americans.

Republicans should be wary of making deals with Democrats that involve amnesty.  History is littered with bad deals where illegal aliens got amnesty up front, Democrats got millions of new voters, and Republicans got fooled—and their party grew ever smaller in states like California.

President Trump was given a mandate to build a wall, end sanctuary cities and enforce immigration law, and if elected to the Congress, that is what I will fight to accomplish.  On top of that, we need to reform the legal immigration system to end chain migration and the diversity lottery, and put the interests of America and her people, first—period.

California’s Top Ten Stupidest Laws for 2018

There they go again.

The Marxist-Progressives who control California have made their priorities clear (and they’ve faced no real opposition from Republicans):

  • make life easier for criminals and illegal aliens and criminal illegal aliens, while cracking down on law-abiding gun owners and citizens.  Their goal with the new gun control measures in particular is to make our lives a living hell, under the guise of improving public safety, but the reality is the new laws simply increase the government’s control over those who they fear will eventually rise up and resist them with arms.
  • make it easier to commit voter fraud
  • make it harder to hire employees or run a business or be a taxpaying citizen

Here are the Ten Stupidest Laws that Go into Effect on Monday, January 1st, 2018:

  1. Massive increase in Gas & Car Tax:  First SB-1: increases your gas taxes by .12 Cents and the car tax (Vehicle License Fee) by an average of $150. Then 9 sellout traitor Republicans voted to renew the Cap N Trade program—which should be called Cap n Tax Scheme—which will increase gas approx .73 cents per gallon according to the supposedly ‘non-partisan’ Legislative Analysts Office (LAO).
  2. Multiple laws to turn California into a Sanctuary for Illegal Alien Criminals: A) $30 million of our taxes to subsidize free legal help for illegal aliens (including Criminal Aliens). B)  SB54 to protect dangerous illegal alien criminals from deportation by making it illegal for law enforcement agencies to cooperate with Federal Immigration agencies. C) Bill allowing tenants to sue landlords if they disclose immigration status to any governmental authority.
  3. Proposition 63—which makes it illegal for Californians to purchase ammo from out of state and requires California residents to purchase ammo through licensed ammo dealers after buying a permit and passing an additional background check—goes into effect January 1st, 2018.
  4. Early release for elderly lifers—murderers, rapists, etc.—as long as they are at least 60 years old and have already served 25 years in prison.  Under these rules, Charles Manson would have qualified and the Melendez brothers, who murdered their parents in cold blood could potentially be released in just over a decade.
  5. Heard of “safe spaces?”  You won’t believe this one.  A new law establishes safe “injection zones” run by the government to give people a “safe space” to inject heroin.
  6. California makes it easier to commit voter fraud with  SB450, which passed in 2016, does away with neighborhood polling places and replaces them with elections conducted primarily by mail. Ostensibly, it represents another effort to boost sagging voter participation, but by moving to “mail only” elections, all semblance of any attempt at voter integrity is lost.  No longer will voters be required to identify themselves in any way in order to vote.
  7. One new law makes it a misdemeanor (instead of a felony) to intentionally transmit AIDS to a unknowing partner.  This shows you how completely insane and dominant the leftist gay mafia is in California politics.
  8. Assembly Bill 167 seeks to tamp down on “not in my backyard” backlash by making it harder for cities and counties to vote down proposed developments that fit within their long-range housing plans. This is a direct assault on property rights, where the government’s agenda is the primary driver, not your rights.
  9. Another law allows a driver’s true sex to be omitted from drivers licenses—allowing a third gender to be listed.  The goal of any form of identification should accuracy, not a political agenda.
  10. Just what California needs.  More restrictions on employers:  One new law bans employers from requiring formerly incarcerated job seekers by banning the box on applications that asks about criminal conviction history.  Another forbids prospective employers from deciding how much money to offer you by asking what you made at your last job. Under Assembly Bill 168, the salary history of job applicants can only be disclosed voluntarily. Supporters say the law could help women close the persistent gender pay gap.

Remember it’s always about increasing government control over the people—and these 10 new laws infringe our natural rights, interfere with our pursuit of happiness and prosperity and decrease freedom in what was once the freest state in the union.

GOP’s ‘Fake Tax Reform Bill’ Tax Cut for Apple, Tax Increase for Many Californians

GOP leaders in Congress are putting the economy and their political future at risk by breaking two fundamental rules of politics with the GOP Tax Plan they’re trying to force on the people.

The first the time-tested adage Paul Ryan and crew are ignoring?

 “First do no harm.”

This tax bill violates the Hippocratic Oath by pushing a bill that will harm those who are chronically ill, on fixed income and the elderly by eliminating deductions for “qualified medical expenses” that exceed 10% of an individuals gross adjusted income.  That covers patients who need kidney dialysis and other very costly treatments for chronic conditions.

By it’s very nature, this deduction aids those who are shouldering an extraordinary burden that is not reimbursed by insurance—which means they’re most likely the very “middle-class” Americans the GOP claims it wants to help.

It’s stupid policy and politics for Paul Ryan and the GOP establishment to throw them overboard in their haste to “get something done.”

And to add insult to injury, since Ryan’s Republicans could not deliver on repealing ObamaCare, they are simply making themselves the bad guys on health care policy across the board.

The second major bit of wisdom Congressional GOP leaders ignore at their peril?

“Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.”

This so-called tax reform bill plays on class warfare—but unlike Democrats who are masters at dividing Americans against each other for their own political benefit—Republicans did the opposite:   They united a large segment of their own supporters with their political enemies against their own keynote reform bill.

It doesn’t take a genius to see that this bill gives massive corporations like Apple a permanent corporate tax cut—from 35 to 20%—while raising taxes an estimated $100 Billion on successful small business owners and professionals in the highest of all high-tax states, California, by eliminating the state and local tax deduction.

To make matters worse, Ryan is ignoring the fact that the highest taxed state in the nation also happens to be one of the top sources of campaign donations to the Republican Party and candidates nationally.

Orange County, California is the second single largest source of donations to Republicans, period.  By turning on the very people who brought you to the dance—those who largely financed the Republican takeover of the House, the Senate and the Presidency—into your sworn enemy, isn’t smart strategy in war or politics.

In addition, by capping the mortgage deduction at $500,000, Ryan energized California realtors against it—turning what ordinarily would be one of the Republican Party’s most reliable allies in red and blue states alike into ground troops for anyone who opposes this monstrosity of a tax reform bill.

That does not bode well in states like California where Hillary Clinton won a number of districts that used to be automatic checks in the red column.   Now, Ryan will have to spend far more money, and may still lose seats as his clueless candidates walk in lock step with political establishment at a time when anti-establishment fervor is running high and no less than Steve Bannon–Breitbart Chairman and former chief advisor to President Trump–has declared war on the GOP establishment.

According to one survey by the University of Chicago, 37 out of 38 economists hate this bill.  That’s quite an accomplishment since it’s almost impossible to get economists to agree on anything.  Their biggest gripe?  It will cause “U.S. debt to increase ‘substantially’ faster than the economy.”

If only Paul Ryan could have taken a page out of the play books of much more astute leaders like Pres. John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan:

Keep it simple, stupid!

An across the board tax cut for everyone who pays taxes would not only have been good policy—spurring robust economic growth and job creation—but it would have been good politics uniting the political establishment with the conservative base of the party.

It was Bannon himself who suggested in a speech at CPAC that when the GOP establishment unites with the conservative movement, “we’re unstoppable.”

Too bad a toady like Paul Ryan is in charge instead of a Bannon-like leader, who would fight for true reform on the basis of sound economic principles instead of simply giving in to the fear that the media characterizing the bill as “tax cuts for the rich.”

How anyone in this post-Trump era could still use the “fear of the media calling us names” playbook and remain in charge, says a lot about the complete lack of leadership in the Republican congress.

Ryan’s claim that after the GOP tax reform bill is passed into law, Republicans will learn to love it echoes the insulting attitude of the previous speaker, Nancy Pelosi who once said of ObamaCare:

“We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what’s in it.”

Others like Mimi Walters, who’s “Hillary District” is a top Democrat target, have employed another Democrat tactic— dismissing current constituent concerns, claiming that they will most likely be fixed in conference with the Senate.

Kind of begs the question; “Isn’t that the job of a representative?”

With only 33% of Americans in support of Ryan’s plan, and a full 50% opposed, it might behoove the Republicans to punt for the remainder of 2017 and live to fight another day.  That would give them plenty of time to go back to the drawing board and come up with a bill that includes sound, winning policy ideas like actual cuts to stimulate the economy along with real reforms instead of just more political gimmickry.

Breaking News: Bannon Forced Out, Trump Presidency in Jeopardy

Today, August 18th, 2017 is the day the Trump Presidency as we knew it, ended.

By forcing presidential advisor Steve Bannon out, Trump pushed the last best voice of the people out of his inner circle, which is now solely populated by establishment figures.

In a recent interview in which Bannon was clearly speaking unguarded–which we now know was a post-resignation slap at Trump–Bannon blasted the Charlottesville “ethnic nationalist” as “clowns,” sounding far more presidential than Trump’s weak-kneed approach, which only emboldened his enemies.

Bannon showed that by ridiculing those whom the media is attempting to use to smear you, you win.   Bannon was smeared by the media as the poster child for the ‘alt-right,’ a term the media coined to denigrate Americans who believe in what Michael Savage calls “borders, language and culture.”

Rumor has it that Trump cannot stand dissent in his inner circle, and if Bannon is anything, he’s brusque and unflinching in what he believes.

I believe Trump made an unforced, fatal error in removing his truest advisor, one he will lie to regret.

Trump threw the media a bone, using Bannon’s ousting as a proxy–as if that will get the media to stop calling Trump a racist.

Steve Bannon hired me to write for Breitbart, and for that I’ll be forever grateful.  He is an honorable and decent man, and hardcore American Patriot.

Thank you, sir, for your service to God and Country.

You’ll be missed.

Godspeed

Breaking News: 8 California Establishment Republicans Vote for .63 Gas Tax Increase (Disguised as Cap and Trade Tax)

Eight California GOP establishment legislators—including Sen. Tom Berryhill, and Assemblymen Mayes, Chavez, and Steinorth—voted for a .63 per gallon gas tax, handing Gov. Jerry Brown another victory and a massive slush fund to spend on things like High Speed Rail.

Complete List of Sell-outs:

State Assembly:

  • Rocky Chavez

Final Vote Tally on Brown’s Cap N Trade Gas Tax (AB 398)
  • Chad Mayes
  • Catharine Baker
  • Devon Mathis
  • Jordan Cunningham
  • Heath Flora
  • Marc Steinorth

State Senate

  • Tom Berryhill

Earlier in the day former Gov. Pete Wilson, and former U.S. Secretary of State George P. Shultz came out and endorsed the gas tax increase disguised as a mere extension of the Cap and Trade scheme—which was originally passed out of the legislature by a simple majority in spite of the constitutional requirement for a tax or fee to be passed by 2/3’s.

According to the Legislative Analyst Office, Brown’s Cap and Trade Scheme—which requires oil and gas companies to comply— will cost Californians between .63 and .73 per gallon at the pump in higher prices (aka .63-.73/gallon hidden gas tax).

See letter from LAO to Assemblyman Fong (R-Bakersfield) left.

Democrat Governor Jerry Brown put some catnip for conservatives in the bill including the repeal of the illegally-passed Fire Tax (but the increase in gasoline by .63-.73 per gallon will easily eclipse the $152 Fire Tax in the first few months of the year, depending on how far your daily commute.)

In exchange for delivering Republican votes, Assembly Minority Loser Mayes was promised that his ACA 1, granting the minority party “more say” in how the Cap and Trade Revenues are spent.  That was passed by 58 votes including almost every Republican.  Evidently none of Mayes staff told him that every single Democrat promise made in the past in exchange for selling out core principles has been broken, held up in court and simply forgotten.

Mayes made a deal with the devil, and expects the devil will honor it.

The irony is that the moribund California GOP has spent millions, hoping to “rebuild it’s brand” by recalling Democrat State Senator Josh Newman over a .12 gas tax increase.   Assemblyman Travis Allen is staking his gubernatorial bid on getting enough signatures to overturn the same .12 gas tax increase.

And now the so-called leader of the Republicans in the Assembly and 7 other GOP representatives sold their souls for a gas tax increase that is 5-fold over and above the one the GOP was willing to go to war over.

And by giving Jerry Brown the vote he needed in the assembly to “lawsuit-proof” Cap and Trade from any further challenges on it’s constitutionality as a legally passed tax, they legitimized the continued confiscation of capital without consequence.

They also provided cover for embattled Democrats, who did not have to proffer their vote for what is quickly becoming one of the most unpopular votes ever as voters discover what’s in the bill.

Wasn’t it Einstein who said the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and hoping for a different result?

First the CA GOP turned it’s back on Trump (even though now they’re backpedalling like crazy to cover up the evidence), and now they’re the deciding votes on the biggest tax increase on working Californians in recent history.

No wonder GOP registration is barely 25.9%, the lowest in California history.

Brown’s ‘No-Cuts’ Budget Raises Taxes to Pay for Illegal’s Legal Defense, Fund Planned Parenthood and More Gun Control

The largest budget in California history contains none of Gov. Jerry Brown’s promised cuts—but it’s chock full of nasty surprises for taxpayers—including increases in taxes, more money for legal defense of illegal aliens, and expands gun control.

This budget is a far cry from the priorities Gov. Jerry Brown laid out back in January.  When the economy was still struggling, and revenues were skittish, Brown promised cuts to increases in education, subsidized childcare and planned to “phase out a middle-class college scholarship program,” according to a Capitol Radio story.

But that’s not even close to the whole story.

An ABC News/AP Story explains why there are two different budget numbers floating around in press reports:

“The one-year budget takes effect July 1. The $125 billion figure reflects spending from the general fund — the money over which lawmakers have the most control. Including bonds and special funds, the budget is $183 billion.”

When you take into account the entire budget at just under $200 billion—included are the projected revenues from the cigarette, marijuana and gas taxes recently passed—it’s easy to see how so many individual spending items fly under the radar.

Nasty Surprises in California’s $183B budget plan

  • Expands Gun Control
  • Higher Taxes on cigarettes, and gasoline
  • $118M Startup Cash for Marijuana Industry Tax Collection dept.
  • $50M in funding to Planned Parenthood (to offset any federal cuts per LA Times)
  • Prevents any new Federal Immigration Detention contracts with local governments (squash deportations)
  • Expands the Low-Income Tax Credits to those too poor to pay state income tax
  • $50M in Additional Aid for illegal alien legal protection
  • Diverts cigarette tax money to cover MediCal deficit and fully fund medical and dental for welfare recipients
  • Borrows $6B from a state fund to restore CalPERS fund
  • Increases subsidies for childcare by $15.5M for poor
  • Language that keeps Oroville Dam Repair Plan Secret
  • Resets clock in recall elections to prevent Josh Newman recall and protect SuperMajority

According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, “[g]un rights advocates are fuming over some language buried in [the] state budget bill that would expand the number of Californians who can’t get guns.

Current law prohibits the possession of firearms by those convicted of a felony, but the new legislation would extend that to those with outstanding warrants for a felony or certain misdemeanors.”

North Bay Business Journal reports that the budget includes “$118 million to pay for startup costs for the newly regulated [marijuana] industry, including technology and staff to work on regulations and issue licenses. The state will open a tax office in the remote region north of San Francisco so marijuana businesses can pay their taxes in cash without having to drive long distances with thousands of dollars.”  Under new regulations, it will now be legal in California to sell marijuana at state fairs and for home delivery. The reason the industry must deal in cash?   Banks are federally regulated—and marijuana is still illegal under federal law.

The irony is that Democrat leaders have a very different take on the budget accord than ordinary Californians—if growing opposition to the gas tax is any sign.

Less than $3 billion will go to infrastructure ($2.8 billion for mostly local roads and transit projects) and barely $111 million of the $7 Billion water bond passed under Prop 1—and 2 years after the passage, this money will only be spent to assess and evaluate safety of, not build, any actual dams.

To add insult to injury, the Los Angeles Times reports that “[o]n the legislation’s second-to-last page, it says the required emergency action plans would be kept confidential to ‘protect public safety.’’

Republican James Gallagher, the assemblyman who represents Yuba City where the Oroville Dam is located, took exception to the proposed secrecy.

“So there’s clearly problems with the emergency action plan at the dam that we need to improve and change,” Gallagher reportedly said, “But they’re going shield it from public review and criticism.”

“Brown, a Democrat, has called the budget ‘balanced and progressive,’ [according to an ABC New report,] Legislative Democrats said it would help alleviate poverty while building up savings for a future economic downturn.

‘This is a budget that does things for people, not to people,’ Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon [reportedly said]. ‘With this budget, we keep our promises to students, patients, and voters… In this budget, we will protect what we have gained and we will persist in moving forward.’”

The $45 million in increased funding to expand legal services for illegal aliens over Brown’s original $30-million budget request is sure to rile up Californians now being forced to pay more in gas taxes just to maintain crumbling roads.  Democrats are making good on their promises to do everything in their power to keep illegal aliens—including criminal aliens—from being deported by the Trump administration.

And California voters are not likely to forget their priorities come election time.

“Today’s vote confirms our responsibility to protect the due process rights of people living within our borders which is fundamental to our democracy,” Hueso, chair of the Latino Caucus, said in a statement picked up by the Los Angeles Times.

Giving Only Congressman Reciprocal Right to Conceal Carry in DC is Misguided, It’s Everyone’s Right to Carry

A Republican Lawmaker is pushing to grant Congressmen reciprocal carry rights in DC in response to the attempted assassination of numerous Republican representatives today in Alexandria, Virginia.

On the surface, it may sound good, but not after you think about it for a moment.

Why only Congressional Representatives?

What makes them so special?  After all, we are all equal under the law, and our form of self-government allows for us to be ruled “by the people.”

So why preferential treatment only for those in elected office?

The California legislature pushed a similar bill after AZ Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in 2011.  The problem is that ordinary citizens are routinely denied the same “special right” that some wish to confer on elected representatives.

The 2nd Amendment is clear.  It was intended to empower the people in the defense of their freedom and to secure their natural rights.

26 of the most powerful words in any language:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The idea of creating a higher tier of rights that would apply only to those holding elected office would be deeply offensive to the founders and violate the intent and purpose of the establishment of the American government as outlined in the Declaration, and reinforced in the Constitution—which was, in essence, to secure and safeguard our natural, God-given rights—that of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

And when the government becomes the greatest threat to the very rights it was formed to protect—by abridging and infringing the 2nd Amendment for example—citizens have every right to “alter or abolish” it.

Best place to start—abolish laws that only apply to elected officials as if they are a “special class.”

The San Bernardino Terrorist Attack made it clear to every American paying attention that not only can’t the government protect you, it won’t—in fact, by granting a visa to a radicalized Muslim like Tafsheen Malik, they’ve put you in even greater danger.

And the most expedient way for the average American to improve their likelihood of surviving an active shooting situation?  Even in a gov’t-declared gun-free zone like San Bernardino?

Carry.  That’s right.  I said it.  Training with your weapon is important, but even more so, make sure it is with you and ready to go at all times.

Simply exercise your right “to keep and bear arms” and carry as necessary to perform the function that Government failed to do.

Note:  I didn’t say go beg for permission to carry from a Sheriff, and pay the government a yearly bribe to exercise your natural, God-given right to defend your life and your freedom.  Some people choose to do that.  My question to them is always—why? Most want to avoid trouble with the law.  But the only way to true freedom is to understand that your right to life trump all manmade laws, but you cannot live free if you cannot first think free.”

Do more than pray for the victims—empower yourself so that if you’re ever called upon, you neutralize the threat and save your own life and the lives of others.

Godspeed,

Tim Donnelly

Fresno shooting spree: 3 people killed, suspect who yelled ‘Allahu Akbar,’ says he ‘hates white people’ in custody

From Breitbart.com and Fox News Reports….DEVELOPING: Three people were killed after a man went on a shooting spree in downtown Fresno, California on Tuesday while shouting “God is great” in Arabic before he was tackled and taken into custody, police said.

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said officers took Kori Ali Muhammad, 39, into custody in connection to the shootings. Dyer said Muhammad went by the nickname “Black Jesus” and shouted “Allahu Akbar” as police tackled him to the ground.

Dyer said at a news conference Muhammad told police that he hates white people, and has made posts against white people and the government on his Facebook page. All of the victims of the shooting rampage on Tuesday were white men, according to police.

The shooting spree began around 10:45 a.m. local time, when one person was shot in a PG&E utility truck, a second person was shot on Fulton Street and a third person was shot in the parking lot of Catholic Charities, FOX 26 News reported.

All three shooting locations were close to each other in the downtown area. Around 16 shots were fired during the shooting spree, police said.

“What we know is that this was a random act of violence,” Dyer said. “There is every reason to believe he acted alone.”

Muhammad was already wanted in connection to the killing of an unarmed security guard at a Motel 6 last week, police said.

“Our thoughts are with all involved in the incident that occurred in Fresno today,” PG&E said in a statement. “Public and employee safety is always our top priority. We are still gathering information on what happened, and will work to support first responders and law enforcement in their efforts.”

Dyer said Fresno police have called the FBI to assist in the investigation. Muhammad made other statements to police, but Dyer did not disclose what they were.

One of the shooting scenes happened outside a Catholic Charities building, but officials don’t believe the suspect was tied to the nonprofit organization.

Following the shooting, Fresno city spokesman Mark Standriff said county offices were placed on lockdown, and people were urged to shelter in place.  Read the rest of the story here.

Leftist Media Describes Deadly Terrorist Attack On Anniversary of Brussels Massacre ‘Firearms Incident’

Hard to believe that we still have those in the media who cannot simply say what they see.  A lone attacker runs innocent people over on purpose, then stabs a cop in an attempt to get into Britain’s Parliament only 40 yards from the Prime Minister, and Yahoo News called it a ‘Firearms Incident’ rather than a ‘Terrorist Attack’.

Who does that?

Especially considering the initial attack was “an ordinary family car”, “a knife (see picture) and the only gun used was by cops to stop the terrorist.

But the left’s obsession with covering up for radical Islam and blaming ‘guns’ knows no bounds.

Sky News summarized the incident as follows:

The assailant has been shot.

Commander BJ Harrington of the Metropolitan Police said there were “a number of casualties”, including police officers, but could not comment on the numbers or nature of the injuries.

Eyewitnesses have said the attacker mowed down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before crashing his car into railings outside the Houses of Parliament then running out with a knife, stabbing a police officer and then being shot.

Photos show several people injured on Westminster Bridge, some bleeding heavily, others lying in blood.

Ambulances rushed to the scene as the area was cordoned off.

So far the name of the terrorist is not known, but since the incident happened on the anniversary of the horrific Brussel Massacre a year aid that left 32 people dead and over 100 wounded, it is most likely that he will be found to be a radicalized Islamist.

I’ll leave it to others to be politically correct and pretend we don’t know what we don’t know.

California Democrats Threaten to Stop Paying Federal Taxes

California Democrats are going on the offensive, firing the first shot in their pitched battle with President Donald J. Trump, and threatening to “cut off the Feds” by withholding taxes.

According to CBS San Francisco, former State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, Jr. said: “California could very well become an organized non-payer. … They could recommend non-compliance with the federal tax code.” Democrats are considering the tax revolt as part of what CBS San Francisco called an “all-out war” against the Trump administration, which could also include holding back state transfers of funds to the federal government.

The list of potential state transfers to Washington is limited, however, according to one expert on the inner workings of California’s government contacted by Breitbart News, who did not wish to be named. He cited the handful of areas where the State of California remits large dollar amounts, including biweekly federal tax withholding from millions of state workers, and worker’s compensation fund payments.

California is often described as a “donor state,” meaning that California remits more money than it takes in federal funds to keep hundreds of entitlement programs afloat. While that may be true, it does not paint an accurate picture of California’s finances.

As Governor Jerry Brown admitted in his “State of the State” speech last week, the Golden State is dependent on “tens of billions of dollars” to keep Covered California (California’s version of ObamaCare) afloat, such that losing it would blow a hole in California’s budget, creating a massive shortfall.

If state officials move to stop federal withholdings, that would put California state workers in a very precarious position, and could have profound consequences for the state as a non-compliant employer — not to mention massive financial penalties that could be assessed.

California Democrats are accustomed to steamrolling over the weak opposition, to say nothing of crushing individual business large and small, often taking on entire industries like the twin behemoths — oil and agriculture — and forcing them to comply or die.

(Remember the Amazon sales tax fight in California?  The world’s most valuable company folded like an empty suit in a hurricane.)

But California Democrats have never dealt with anyone like our new president.  President Donald J. Trump is not likely to tolerate lawlessness and defiance from a petulant blue minority in a nation turned red. Threats to cut off what would not even amount to 10% of the money flowing from California to Washington, D.C. could trigger President Trump turning off the spigot altogether — essentially drying up the almost 80% of California funds that are returned to the state in federal funding.

Democrats, drunk on local power, seem to have forgotten the lessons of 1992, when Republican Governor Pete Wilson came out and announced, “This morning, California is running on empty,” and the state began issuing I.O.U.’s in lieu of payment for the first time since the Great Depression.

Failing to remit worker’s compensation funds put California in arrears for decades.

Do Democrats really want to risk California’s solvency by throwing sand in the eye of the Leviathan?

If the Trump administration holds the “Trump card” simply by shutting off the subsidies for one program — and Gov. Brown admits they do when it comes to ObamaCare funding — it is clear which side holds the leverage.

California is particularly vulnerable because of the dependence of many illegal aliens on public assistance, and on the federal earned income tax credit.

With the stroke of a pen, President Trump could shut down the state by cutting off or delaying funds.

Moreover, federal funds fuel almost every major institution in California, including:

  • Military Bases
  • K-12 Schools
  • Public Colleges and Universities (Federal funds, student loans)
  • Airports
  • Ports
  • Federal contracts with technology and defense companies

Since the California Constitution forbids deficit funding, the state cannot live off credit cards alone.
